GOD’S SIMPLE PLAN FOR SALVATION
HOW TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOUR
The Bible makes it plain and clear as to how you can become a born-again Christian and experience the Christian life.
The Word of God lays out a simple strategy for man to receive and become a child of God.
Our desire is for each of us to learn this simple strategy so we can use the proper Scriptures to share the gospel to others, and lead them to salvation.
We have broken this God’s Plan of Salvation into three segments to help us to better use the plan. They are “The Sinner”, “The Salvation”, and “The Security”.
Section Title

THE SINNER
A. The sinner must realize that he, or she is a born sinner.
Romans 3:10
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
1. Everyone on earth is a born sinner and is on their way to hell when they die.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
2. Everyone on earth is a sinner. Ecclesiastes 7:20 (KJV)
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
B. How we all became sinners.
1. Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and they became sinners. We have inherited their sinful nature. Therefore, we are sinners also.
Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
2. The Bible sees our attempts of being righteous as the same as a dirty filthy rag.
Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
3. The Bible looks upon everyone as a sinner who needs to get saved.
4. Following the Ten Commandments will not save you.
Romans 3:19–20
19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
THE SALVATION
A. Accepting Jesus Christ is the only way to become a child of God. Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
B. You cannot do anything to save yourself. You must receive Jesus Christ and Christ alone.
Ephesians 2:8–10
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
C. Jesus Christ is the only way for man to become a saved child of God.
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
D. You must repent and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart.
Luke 13:3
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
John 1:12–13
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
E. Do you see your need to ask The Lord to come into your heart and save you?
THE SECURITY
A. Jesus will save anyone who calls on the name of the Lord for salvation.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
B. Jesus promises to give rest to all who call on Him for salvation.
Matthew 11:28–30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
C. Why should we trust Jesus Christ to save us? Remember, of all those who died claiming to be God, Jesus Christ is the only One who got up from the dead.
D. When you receive Christ as your Savior, He wants you to know that you are saved.
1 John 5:11–13
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
